VCA Public Comment Period Opens for 2016-2017 Guidelines for Funding

Richmond, VA - Over the last year, the Virginia Commission for the Arts updated its Guidelines for Funding. At the September 30, 2015 meeting of the Commission, the Board voted to approve the Guidelines in concept and to release the draft for a three month public comment period.
In December at the conclusion of the comment period, the Commission Board will review any comments and make decisions on whether to further revise or amend the Guidelines for 2016-2017. Today we are publicly releasing the draft, and we welcome any suggestions or amendments you wish to offer.
The public comment period for Guidelines review will close on December 8, 2015. The Commission Board will vote on the Guidelines in final on December 9, 2015. These procedures and regulations will be then be used to evaluate applications for grants to the Virginia Commission for the Arts for FY17.
