He has been featured on NPR's All Things Considered, BBC's Good Morning Television, and NBC's Nightside, PBS's Mister Rogers' Neighborhood, and CBS's The Early Show. His 9 recordings have received critical acclaim in newspapers, magazines, radio and television programs around the world.

Audiences hear the music and stories of Benjamin Franklin's glass armonica and how Dean has revived the lost art of playing it. Also featured in this program are rare and antique glass musical instruments from around the world including the Japanese glass violin, crystal English handbells, glass bowed psaltery, and the new French Cristal Baschet.

Educational Programs

In a school assembly program, students experience the enchanting sounds of Ben Franklin’s glass armonica, French music for hurdy-gurdy and early American music celebrating Davy Crockett as a frontier fiddler.
