Tuned Grand piano
The Washington Post called Elizabeth Schumann's music "deft, relentless, and devastatingly good." The winner of several major international piano competitions, Elizabeth has headlined at venues ranging from Kennedy Center and Vienna's Bösendorfer Saal to festivals throughout America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. Highlighted in a PBS television documentary after receiving the prestigious Gilmore Young Artists Award, she also was featured on NPR's "Performance Today" and her recordings are frequently broadcast around the world.
Elizabeth's third CD recording, Piano Carnival, combines storytelling and classical favorites to inspire young and old to discover the world of piano music. Obsessed with bringing classical concert music to a broader audience, Elizabeth is dedicated to creating accessible, exciting concert programs.
Concerts feature classical, contemporary, and popular music, ranging from Chopin to Gershwin, with entertaining introductory commentary to appeal to a wide variety of audiences.
