Known for its high-energy chamber music performances and virtuosity, the Garth Newel Piano Quartet offers fresh insights into both standard and new repertoire. The quartet has recorded two CDs and perform over 50 concerts each year. Quartet members have extensive teaching and coaching experience.

CONCERTS

are informal and conversational, appealing to a wide variety of audiences. The quartet maintains a strong dedication to the next generation of chamber musicians and possesses the rare ability to captivate an audience with spirit and passion.

MASTER CLASSES

include coaching for piano and string students as well as chamber ensembles. Lecture/demonstrations include an in-depth look at a specific chamber music work with a description of the composer’s life and creative process. The non-academic approach focuses on the meaning of the piece and guiding the audience’s listening. Lecture/demonstrations are tailored to each individual situation and are particularly effective as a pre-concert discussion.
