FEES

Story ballet performances, repertory performances & multi-day residencies: vary due to subsidies; please inquire. Master classes, lecture/demonstrations, open company class, and other education and outreach services available; please inquire.
All fees are negotiable based upon the size and scope of the tour engagement.

AVAILABILITY

Fall and Spring tours each year, with the possibility of extended dates September through May.

TECHNICAL

Permanent stage no smaller than 32’ wide x 24’ deep (not including the wings) for repertory performances. Story ballet requirements vary by production (please inquire). Cafeterias, gymnasiums, or similar spaces may be used for educational programs.

PERFORMANCES

Now in its 27th professional season, the State Ballet of Virginia continues to win acclaim for its inviting, broad repertory that combines classical and contemporary ballets with an impressive collection of over 50 original works. The company is known for its versatility. Story ballet productions are ideal for families with young children, featuring vibrant costumes and scenery, as well as a large cast of artists augmented by apprentice and trainee dancers. Richmond Ballet performances and activities are flexible in order to meet community needs.

EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS

can include lecture/ demonstrations and youth performances for elementary and secondary students, master classes for advanced dance students, and open rehearsals and workshops with the Ballet’s dancers. Richmond Ballet also offers multi-day residencies.
