ABOUT

Stephanie Nakasian & Hod O'Brien have headlined from Lincoln Center, Kennedy Center,
and the Moscow International Performing Arts Center, to festivals in Japan, Europe, and the U.S.

A leading female jazz singer, Stephanie is featured on the syndicated radio show "Riverwalk." She has performed with jazz legend Jon Hendricks, Pat Metheny, Bobby McFerrin, and others, and teaches voice at the University of Virginia and College of William & Mary. Her book, "It's not on the Page!" is a favorite of teachers and students. Nakasian's CD Billie Remembered inspired Terry Gross to interview Stephanie on her syndicated NPR show "Fresh Air."

Hod O'Brien is a famed swing/bop pianist, having performed with jazz legends Art Farmer, Stan Getz, Donald Byrd, Chet Baker, and many others. He performs in festivals and venues around the world including Japan's prestigious Fujitsu 100 Golden Fingers Tour.

CONCERTS

From duo to Big Band, with a repertoire including the Great American Songbook and Jazz Classics: authentic; swinging; entertaining; engaging all ages and sized audiences.

WORKSHOPS

For all ages, on improvisation, vocals, piano, jazz history, jazz phrasing and rhythm. Nakasian's choral workshops help teachers and students with jazz rhythm, syncopation, phrasing and improvisation.
