ABOUT

Incorporating classical, contemporary, and popular music, Virginia Virtuosi engages audiences with unique chamber music which the Fairfax Connection says is "turning classical music cool." Concert programs are available in addition to the education concerts listed below.

EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS

Rhythm Around the World: Join us for a musical trek around the globe! Kids K-8 will enjoy classical music from the U.S., Argentina, Kenya, Ireland and other countries.

Musical Camera Safari: Children K-5 will love guessing the identity of mystery animals based upon Saint-Saens Carnival of the Animals.

Who’s on First Bass?: Like athletes, musicians use specialized equipment and train every day. Kids in grades 4-8 can join in and help perform the Concerto for Basketball!

Peter and the Wolf Save the Environment: Adapting music from Prokofiev’s Quintet, this sequel to the children’s classic incorporates music, drama, and a visual presentation to tell how Peter and his friends convince Mr. Sludge to change his ways.
