In Memoriam - Eve Wilson of Fairfax County

In Memory Of Virginia Commission for the Arts Board Member

Eve Wilson, who was appointed to the board of the Virginia Commission for the Arts in the summer of 2004 by Governor Mark Warner, passed away at her home in McLean on December 24, 2007 after a lengthy illness. 

Born in San Francisco, Ms. Wilson lived in the metropolitan Washington area for most of her adult life.  She was an avid antiques collector and served as a consultant to numerous East Coast art galleries and private collectors. 

In addition to her work on the Virginia Commission for the Arts board, she served on the boards of the Frontier Culture Museum of Virginia, the Commission for Historic Preservation of Virginia, the Falls Church United Way, and both the Fairfax County and National Capital Area YWCAs.  She was Chair of the Tenth Congressional District of the Democratic Party of Virginia.
