Rappahannock County High School Student Wins 2008 Virginia Poetry Out Loud: National Recitation Contest
Congratulations to Tia Robinson from Rappahannock County High School in Warsaw, Virginia for winning the 2008 Virginia Poetry Out Loud: National Recitation Contest state final.
Tia won $200 and $500 towards poetry books for her school, as well as an all-expense paid trip to the National Competition on April 28th and 29th in Washington, D.C. for a chance of winning a $20,000 scholarship.
This year, Poetry Out Loud involved 7,500 students from around the state. 31 schools participated in the state final at the Library of Virginia on March 6th.
