Art in the Public Interest is a national nonprofit organization, and Virginia Tech's Department of Theatre Arts Consortium for the Study of Theatre and Community.

Community Arts Network
The Community Arts Network (CAN) supports the belief that the arts are an integral part of a healthy culture, providing both intellectual nourishment and social benefit, and that community-based arts provide significant value both to communities and artists. CAN’s Web site is an international resource focusing on the work of artists and their community partners – projects and programs that actively promote the arts as part of education, political life, health recovery, prisoner rehabilitation, environmental protection, community regeneration, electronic communication, and more.

Western States Arts Federation
WESTAF is a non-profit arts service organization that serves the arts in western states; however, links to online resources -- "Arts Resources and Contact Information," "Literary Links," "International Art Links" and "Visual Arts Links" are offered.

Artist Help Network
Artist Help Network is a free career information service for artists. The network assists artists in locating information, resources, guidance, and advice on a comprehensive range of career-related topics. The network focuses primarily on subjects of interest to fine artists; however, people working in the applied arts, arts administration, and arts-related fields may find this site useful.

The Associated Writing Programs
AWP supports writers and writing programs around the world — 21,000 writers at more than 320 member colleges and universities and 60 writers' conferences and centers. Information about writing programs across the United States and college and university teaching positions are offered through one of its newsletters. AWP's site also offers links to other related resources.

Craft Emergency Relief Fund
CERF's mission is to help artisans sustain craft-making as a livelihood and to enrich cultural and economic vitality within communities in the United States. CERF accomplishes its mission by providing immediate support to professional artisans suffering career-threatening emergencies.

International Sculpture Center
International Sculpture Center's members include sculptors, collectors, architects, developers, journalists, curators, historians, critics, educators, foundries, galleries, museums -- anyone with an interest in and commitment to the field of sculpture.

Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation
Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation (MAAF) celebrates, promotes and supports the richness and diversity of the region’s arts resources and works to increase access to the arts and cultures of the region and the world.The Foundation serves the states and territories of Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, the US Virgin Islands, Virginia, and West Virginia.
