Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts
The Foundation's objective is to foster innovative artistic expression and the creative process by encouraging and supporting cultural organizations that in turn, directly or indirectly, support artists and their work. The Foundation values the contribution these organizations make to artists and audiences and to society as a whole by supporting, exhibiting and interpreting a broad spectrum of contemporary artistic practice.

ArtsOpportunities
ArtsOpportunities, an arts classifieds service, is a free online classifieds bank for the nation's arts community provided by the Southern Arts Federation, in partnership with the Center for Arts Management at Carnegie Mellon University. Artists can search for employment, internships and other professional development opportunities. Organizations can submit an unlimited number of postings and receive resumes via e-mail. Updates or account information can be made at any time and a powerful search engine guarantees a targeted audience.

Chronicle of Philanthropy
The Chronicle is a bi-weekly journal of fundraising.

Creative Capital
Creative Capital is a new national organization supporting visual artists who are pursuing innovative approaches to form and/or content in the visual, performing, and media arts. Creative Capital will work closely with its funded artists to provide audience development, marketing and other forms of assistance tailored to individual projects.  In return, artists will share a portion of the proceeds with Creative Capital, thus enabling the fund to support more artists in the future.

Coming Up Taller: Arts & Humanities Programs for At-Risk Youth
The Coming Up Taller Awards recognize and support outstanding community arts and humanities programs that celebrate the creativity of America's young people, provide them learning opportunities and chances to contribute to their communities. This Awards program is a project of the President's Committee on the Arts and the Humanities in partnership with Institute of Museum and Library Services, the National Endowment for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Humanities.

Federal and State Funding Opportunities for Arts Partnerships
Federal and State Funds are available to Virginia Arts Organizations for partnering with schools and community organizations to increase arts programming for children, teachers, and families. Funding organizations include: National Endowment for the Arts, U. S. Department of Education, Virginia Department of Education, and the Virginia Foundation for the Humanities. Federal Grants
Grants.gov is a central storehouse for information on over 1,000 grant programs and provides access to approximately $400 billion in annual awards.

FundsNet is a portal to foundations and other funders. The site offers a wealth of information.

Gottlieb Foundation
The Gottlieb Foundation is a non-profit corporation established to award financial aid to painters, sculptors, and printmakers. The Foundation does not support institutions or organizations, research, students, or projects.

Grantsmart Center
The Center's web site offers a keyword search feature in the database of funding sources.

Grants Connection
Profiles on nearly 1,000 private, public, corporate and community foundations, in the Commonwealth of Virginia,  plus selected foundations in North Carolina, Maryland, Florida and the District of Columbia which have demonstrated giving in Virginia.

Institute for Museum and Library Services
The Institute of Museum and Library Services is the primary source of federal support for the nation’s 122,000 libraries and 17,500 museums. The Institute's mission is to create strong libraries and museums that connect people to information and ideas. The Institute works at the national level and in coordination with state and local organizations to sustain heritage, culture, and knowledge; enhance learning and innovation; and support professional development.

Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation
Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation (MAAF) celebrates, promotes and supports the richness and diversity of the region’s arts resources and works to increase access to the arts and cultures of the region and the world.The Foundation serves the states and territories of Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, the US Virgin Islands, Virginia, and West Virginia.

National Endowment for the Arts
The National Endowment for the Arts is a public agency dedicated to supporting excellence in the arts, both new and established; bringing the arts to all Americans; and providing leadership in arts education. Established by Congress in 1965 as an independent agency of the federal government, the Endowment is the nation's largest annual funder of the arts, bringing great art to all 50 states, including rural areas, inner cities, and military bases.

Network for Good
Network for Good is a non-profit collaboration designed to help organizations increase capacity, reach new audiences, and build Internet strategies. The web site offers a "Nonprofit Resources" page that links to pages on "Fundraising Online," "Recruiting Volunteers Online," and "Online Advocacy."

NYFA Source
Produced by the New York Foundation for the Arts with the Washington, D.C.-based Urban Institute, NYFA Source offers an extensive national database of awards, services, and publications for artists in all disciplines. Artists, arts organizations, and the general public can access information about more than 2,600 arts organizations, 2,700 award programs, 2,100 service programs, and 700 publications for individual artists.

National Park Service - Save America's Treasures
Save America's Treasures grants are available for preservation and/or conservation work on nationally significant intellectual and cultural artifacts and nationally significant historic structures and sites. Grants are awarded through a competitive process and require a dollar-for-dollar, non-Federal match, which can be cash, donated services, or use of equipment. All types of arts organizations have competed successfully in the Save America's Treasures program — museums, performing arts organizations,public television stations, literary magazines, archives, and many more.

eSchool News School Funding Center
Though this web site specializes in bringing technology to the classroom, they list funding for educators, and schools for all sorts of projects and keep it up extremely up-to-date.

Pennsylvania Performing Arts on Tour
PennPAT offers support for touring engagements with PennPAT roster artists to presenters in Virginia among other states.

SchoolGrants
SchoolGrants offers information about funding for PK-12 educators. Links to resources and e-newsletters are provided as well.

The Foundation Center
The Foundation Center supports philanthropy by promoting public understanding of the field and helping grant-seekers succeed throu their Foundation Directory Online. The Foundation Center Library in Washington, D.C. offers training sessions on preparing proposals and applications, as well as training on how to use the library's resources to search for funding opportunities. An e-newsletter is also available from the Washington, D.C. library.

US Department of Education Arts Education Grants
This program supports the implementation of high quality professional development model programs in elementary and secondary education for music, dance, drama, and visual arts educators.

Virginia Foundation for the Humanities
The Virginia Foundation for the Humanities (VFH) brings the humanities fully into Virginia’s public life, assisting individuals and communities in their efforts to understand the past, confront important issues in the present, and shape a promising future.

Virginia Department of Education 21st Century Learning Communities
The purpose of the 21st Century Community Learning Centers program is to establish or expand community learning centers that provide students with academic enrichment opportunities along with activities designed to complement the students' regular academic program. Community learning centers must also offer families of these students literacy and related educational development. The centers - which can be located in elementary or secondary schools or other similarly accessible facilities - provide a range of high-quality services to support student learning and development, including tutoring and mentoring, homework help, academic enrichment (such as hands-on science or technology programs), and community service opportunities, as well as music, arts, sports and cultural activities. At the same time, centers help working parents by providing a safe environment for students when school is not in session.
