Biography

Since 2003, Bright Star Touring Theatre has been providing top-notch performances, workshops and residencies to schools, libraries and theatres all over the United States and abroad.  Our programs concentrate on tough-to-tackle subjects such as anti-bullying, character education, STEM, diversity and Black History.  This season includes over 60 offerings throughout the school year – Fall, Spring and Summer! Our programs feature two professional artists in 45 minute shows. Bright Star shows can be presented in practically any space and we come with everything we need to put on a great show – costumes, backdrops, and props.  While we prefer to keep audiences to around 350, larger performances in appropriate venues such as auditoriums and theaters are possible.

Residencies, workshops and camps are also available, ranging from single hour-long workshops which can be added to any performance ($200) to full five-day residencies or camps ($3995).  Professional development for teachers is also available, from 90 minute arts-integrated workshops to full day. Professional development centers around helping teachers understand the art form of theatre and includes instruction on how to use theatre in the classroom to enhance classroom climate and engagement.
